The camera is mounted on Castledore Rowing Club. The installation was funded by St Sampson Parish Council and Golant Boatwatch, and its operation will be maintained by Golant Boatwatch.
Our Harvest Celebration service at the beginning of October saw a wonderful selection of food donations which were then taken to St Petroc's to be distributed as needed.
Sea Sunday
We held a short service at the Fisherman's Arms to celebrate Sea Sunday. The choir were accompanied by the handbell ringers to bring us some superb music and lead our hymns.
A selection of readings and prayers enabled us to to focus on all aspects of life on and around the water - and what better place to be than at the edge of the River Fowey.
Easter Flowers
St Sampson's church was beautifully decorated by a fabulous team of flower arrangers ready for our Easter celebrations.
A wonderful reminder of the hope that is found in new life.
Jesus is risen! He is risen indeed. Alleluia!
St Mewan Sinfonia
On Sunday 17th March we enjoyed a delightful concert that started with Grieg and ended with Danny Boy in a nod to St Patrick's Day.

The crib is set, the candles are all lit on our advent wreath with the white candle to remind us that Jesus is the light of the world.
Family and friends gathered to welcome Niamh as she was Baptized in Golant on Sunday.
The Carnival in Golant - 12th August
A fun-filled day followed by the fancy dress competition showed our churchwardens in a fresh light!
Afternoon Tea at Penquite Farm
On a beautiful sunny day we were welcomed to a delightful afternoon tea at Penquite Farm, with musical accompaniment from the handbell ringers. An enjoyable fund raiser in support of St Sampson's church and Lostwithiel Flower Group.
With thanks to the hard working team who had baked cakes, grown plants, collected books and organised the raffle - not to mention the tea-makers and those who were washing up in the kitchen!
A special day for Henry in his faith journey as he was Confirmed in Truro Cathedral by Bishop Philip.
It was wonderful to have so many family and friends from Golant at the service.
